Vipul Shah’s ‘Action replay’ is an unusual love story that unfolds backwards in time and thus taking the life to 70s.The movie shows actor Akshay Kumar returning back with his flock here formulas along with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
Movie starred by Akshay and Aishwarya Rai in key roles also witnesses other fine actors like Neha Dhupia, Om Puri, Kirron Kher, Ranbir Kapoor and Rajpal Yadav playing supporting roles in the film. The movie as per report of the sources is copied version of a Gujarati play of 1994 which was played by the same name.
However, despite of sincere acting of Akshay, the movie seems to be another failure for the star due to poor script, screenplay, music, cinema photography, artwork and clothes. Ash age is showing up she does not look she used looked like in Dhoom2.Moreover, story is flat with nothing noteworthy in it. In fact, Vipul failed to bring the 1975 era with fineness as there was nothing other than especially poorly treated sets with poor clothes.
Rajpal Yaadav is poor so is Neha Duphia, Om Puri & Kirron Kher are passable. Music by Pritam is ordinary. One of the main problem with Action Replay is that the jokes are too silly and the filled with humour track takes you nowhere. Veteran Randheer Kapoor with the role of scientist is ok but special effects on time machine is very poor.
Well, in nutshell, the movie is of average class and if you are done with the diwali crackers and sweets and still have nothing to do – go watch Action Replay.
